Any person (hereafter called "student") initiating the registration process enters into a legally and financially binding agreement with the Northwestern College. A student registering for course(s) through the Center for Distance Education is obligated to pay for all costs related to registering and participating in those course(s) including registration fees, tuition, books and materials, and lab fees (if any).

I understand that...

  • Student account statements are emailed by the 7th of each month to your Northwestern College email address. Payments can be made three ways:

    1) online payment by electronic debit from a checking or savings account or by credit card (American Express, Discover, and MasterCard) A fee of 2.75% of the amount of the transaction is assessed if a credit card is used.

    2) mail a payment

    3) pay by check by phone and call the cashier's office at 651-631-5226.
  • Failure to meet the established payment option could result in termination from the Distance Education program.
  • My payment option may be changed by contacting the student account coordinator at (651) 631-5352.
  • A 1% late charge (12.7% per annum) will be assessed on any balance unpaid as of the last business day of each month.
  • I am responsible for payment of my student account in the event that I do not receive financial aid or its payment is delayed.
  • My student account must be paid in full in order to register for additional courses and before a diploma or transcripts are released.
  • In the event that it is necessary to place my account with a commercial collection agency, I will be responsible for all collection costs assessed.

Refund Policy: You have 21 days from the start of the semester, regardless of when you received your materials, to examine the course and confirm your decision to enroll. The CDE must receive your entire course packet (unmarked and undamaged) before the 21st day of the semester. You will receive a refund less the one time $30 registration fee and a $50 restocking charge.
