Robert Adney (Percussion)

As a member of the Twin Cities music community for 30 years, Bob Adney has played with virtually every musical organization in the area. His work with the Minnesota and Saint Paul Chamber Orchestras has given him a combined discography of over 20 recordings, four national and two Asian tours. In the summer he is the timpanist for the Minneapolis Pops Orchestra. As a founding member of the Minnesota Percussion Trio, he has played in over 300 schools throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Adney also teaches at the MacPhail Center for Music. He has authored several percussion instructional books and composed and arranged music for percussion ensemble. Adney was the recipient of the 2001 Faculty Composer Commissioning program at the MacPhail Center.
