Rodney Loeffler, Department Chair

Coming to Northwestern in 2003 as department chair, Mr. Loeffler has a long, distinguished career as a college administrator and music educator. From 1988 to 2003 he was the Assistant Director of the University of Minnesota School of Music. Prior to moving to Minnesota, he had spent his entire professional life in California: four years as Assistant Dean of the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music and 18 years as an instrumental music educator in the public schools. During that time he was actively involved in the state's music education association and as a percussionist, adjudicator, clinician, and guest conductor.
