Michele Frisch
Ms. Frisch is a graduate of Indiana University Music School and studied with James Pellerite, Julius Baker, Albert Tipton and Emil Opava. She is currently principal flute of the Minnesota Opera and VocalEssence. She has played principal for performances by Luciano Pavarotti; New York City Ballet; American Ballet Theater; the Royal Winnipeg Ballet; and the San Francisco, Houston, and Joffrey Ballet companies; The Three Tenors and the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and Minnesota Orchestra; as well as subbing with The Metropolitan Opera. Summers have found her in Virginia as principal flute of the Wintergreen Music Festival. Michele and her husband, violinist Roger Frisch, have traveled to Ukraine on four concert/ministry tours. She released a new CD this year, O Bell'Alma, with haprist Kathy Kienzie, heralded by Gramophone magazine as one of "the best new recordings from North America." B.Mus. (Indiana University)
