Catherine McCord Larsen
Catherine McCord Larsen enjoys a fulfilling career of solo and chamber music performances throughout the country. A specialist of Early Music and the Baroque/Classical periods, Ms. McCord Larsen recently appeared in performances of Bach’s Coffee Cantata, and as Despina in Mozart’s Cosi fan Tutte . She was the featured soprano soloist for the Lyra Baroque Orchestra’s performance of Handel’s Messiah, and in Arvo Pärt’s Magnificat with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. Additional professional affiliations have included being a member of the Dale Warland Singers, Los Angeles Master Chorale and performing with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Los Angeles Baroque Orchestra. Summer work has included the Oregon Bach Festival, California Mozart Festival, Carmel Bach Festival and most recently as a member of the voice faculty at Lutheran Summer Music. Ms McCord Larsen is a member of the Screen Actor’s Guild and can be heard on numerous film and commercial sound tracts. Her voice students have been successful competitors in the MN NATS singing competition and have completed graduate degrees at top universities in this country and abroad.
