Jan Scovill
Ms. Scovill is a sought-after professional vocal and instrumental accompanist and coach. Along with her duties as staff accompanist at Northwestern College, she is a studio accompanist for Mary Kay Schmidt, a private voice teacher in Maple Grove. Mrs. Scovill also does freelance work for other private instructors, soloists, large groups, and ensembles. She has served as rehearsal pianist for many operas and musicals in the Twin Cities area. She has been privileged to play master classes for James Galway, Marilyn Mims, Janet Bookspan, and Rita Patané, for whom she has worked in Milano, Italy. B.S. (Augsburg College).
