David E. Kelby
Finance/Audit Committee Chair

David E. Kelby's law and finance career included 30 years at General Mills, from which he retired in 1993 as senior vice president and treasurer. His career also included positions with Cargill, Graco and the law firm of Felhaber Larson Fenlon and Vogt.

He received his bachelor's, J.D and M.B.A. from the University of Minnesota and completed the program for management development at Harvard Business School. He is a member of Sanibel (Florida) Community Church where he serves as call committee chair and teaches a Bible study. Mr. Kelby also serves on boards of Fairview Healthcare Services, Fairview Physicians Associates and Adolfson and Peterson Inc.

He and his wife, Virginia, who maintain homes in Victoria, Minn., and Sanibel, have been married for 42 years. They have three adult children and seven grandchildren. His hobbies include golf, boating and fishing.

Mr. Kelby was elected to the Northwestern College Board of Trustees in 2000.
