Brook Berry

Brook Berry comes to Northwestern with a strong professional background in marketing and promotion as a director, writer and producer for NBC and PAX TV. Berry promoted and marketed some of NBC’s biggest hits, including Dateline, Law and Order, The Apprentice, and ER (2004). As senior vice president for marketing and promotion at PAX TV (1999-2003), Berry was instrumental in the network’s original launch – one of the most successful in history. During his tenure, PAX TV’s ratings almost doubled.

Berry also has experience in higher education having produced and directed videos for Fuller Seminary Southwest to generate funds for their capital campaign and most recently as an adjunct professor in the NWC communication department during the 2005 spring semester. Some of his earliest work at Northwestern was as a writer for Sunday Nite, (Berry wrote the comedy/mystery “Church Secretary”) which performed live at Northwestern and was broadcast on the Northwestern Radio Network. He also wrote for the Refreshment Committee which toured in churches nation-wide.

Berry earned an M.A. in Creative Writing from Boston University, studying under Nobel Prize-Winning poet and playwright Derek Walcott. Berry also received a B.A. in Theatre Arts from the University of Minnesota. He is married to Karen, a Bethel University graduate, and together they have three children.
