Parent Council Committees
Hospitality Committee
Parent Council members want to connect with other Northwestern parents. Members of the Hospitality Committee serve as hosts at campus events, including Parent Orientation, Family Weekend, and Graduation. Committee members also assist with the planning and promotion of campus events and help other parents connect with the campus community.
Fundraising Committee
Members of the Parent Council appreciate that Northwestern College tuition is an investment in the character and future of their students. They are committed to helping the College manage costs and continue to grow. The Fundraising Committee promotes parent and community participation in institutional fundraising efforts. Members seek to open doors to new resources that will sustain and strengthen the mission of Northwestern College.
College Affairs Committee
The Parent Council seeks to provide a voice for parents and to foster communication between parents and the College. The College Affairs committee advises the Office of Parent Relations on publications, campus issues and project planning. Members of this committee also assist in the admissions process by participating in campus visit weekends and calling campaigns.
Prayer Committee
Parent Council members desire to seek the heart of God and lift up the college and parent-related prayer needs regularly. The Prayer Committee will be a conduit for parents' prayer requests; in other words, represents the college and Parent Council in prayer ministry. Members of this committee will seek to strengthen the relationship between the Lord, parents, students, and the college. They will not duplicate the work of "Moms In Touch" but offer ancillary prayer support.
