LORD, teach us to pray. Luke 11:1

Moms in Touch is a group of praying parents of NWC students who meet on campus on the 2nd and the 4th Wednesday of each month throughout the school year. Together, they pray for our campus, the students, staff, faculty, and everything that comprises Northwestern. Each gathering will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in Cafe Naz (in a room located at the very back of the dining room- N1168).

If you live far away or your schedule is such that you are unable to join them, you are still welcome to pray "with" them from wherever you are. The theme and content of each gathering will be posted below, so you can join in praying for our campus regardless of your location.

If you have specific needs that you would like this group to pray for, please send your prayer requests to Dawn Iglesia at gopray@charter.net.

THIS WEEK'S PRAYER SHEET:

October 28, 2009
Theme: God Will Reward Fairly

PRAISE – Praising God for who He is, His attributes, His name, His character.

Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is [real] and that He IS A REWARDER of those who truly want to find Him.

I Peter 1:17 NLT And And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites. He will judge or REWARD you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of him during your time as “foreigners in the land.”

I Peter 1:17 The Message You call out to God for help and he helps—he's a good Father that way. But don't forget, he's also a responsible Father, and won't let you get by with sloppy living.

Luke 6:35-36 NLT “Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your REWARD from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked. You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.

Psalm 18:20-27 NLT The Lord REWARDED me for doing right; he restored me because of my innocence. For I have kept the ways of the Lord; I have not turned from my God to follow evil. I have followed all his regulations; I have never abandoned his decrees. I am blameless before God; I have kept myself from sin. The Lord REWARDED me for doing right. He has seen my innocence. To the faithful you show yourself faithful; to those with integrity you show integrity. To the pure you show yourself pure, but to the wicked you show yourself hostile. You rescue the humble, but you humiliate the proud.

Psalm 62:11-12 NIRV See God, I have heard you say two things. One is that you, God, are strong. The other is that you, Lord, are loving. I'm sure you will REWARD each person in keeping with what he has done.

Galatians 6:9 So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. You will be REWARDED when the time is right, if you don't give up.

CONFESSION – Silent prayer time. Romans 2:6 - 10 CEV God will REWARD each of us for what we have done. He will give eternal life to everyone who has patiently done what is good in the hope of receiving glory, honor, and life that lasts forever. But he will show how angry and furious he can be with every selfish person who rejects the truth and wants to do evil. All who are wicked will be punished with trouble and suffering. It doesn't matter if they are Jews or Gentiles. But all who do right will be rewarded with glory, honor, and peace, whether they are Jews or Gentiles.

THANKSGIVING – Thank God for answers to prayer, for what He has done. Matthew 10:42 NLT And if you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be REWARDED.

INTERCESSION – Colossians 3:23-24 I pray that ________ will work at everything she/he does with all her/his heart (especially the work for their college classes). I pray that ________ will not just do the minimum that will get him/her by. I pray that ________ will do her/his best. I pray that ________ will work from the heart for his/her real Master, for God, and be confident that he/she will get his/her full REWARD. I pray that ________ will work as if she/he were doing it for the Lord, not for people (college professors). In fact, the Lord Christ is the one _________ is really serving, so may _________ know that He will REWARD him/her.
