Women's Chorale General Information
 
 
 

The Women's Chorale is a non-select ensemble open to all female Northwestern College students pursuing any major area of study. The choir is comprised of 70-80 women and performs sacred and secular music for treble voices ranging from the Western classical tradition to multicultural pieces from around the world. The Women's Chorale presents concerts on campus each semester, participates in Christmas at Northwestern, and goes on a state or regional spring tour. Each fall the ensemble sings in the homecoming Showcase concert and attends the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) of Minnesota Men's and Women's Chorus Festival at St. John's University in alternate years. Chorale has performed at the 2006 Minnesota Music Educators Midwinter In-Service Clinic, the 2004 North Central ACDA Division Conference, and the 2001 ACDA of Minnesota Fall Conference. In 2003 the chorale was invited to perform The Planets by Gustav Holst with the Minnesota Orchestra and maestro Edo de Waart
