June 8, 2009 - The Kresge Foundation Challenge Grant— Less than 30 days to go!
By God’s supernatural provision, in December 2007, Northwestern was awarded a prestigious Kresge grant of $750,000. In order to receive this grant we were challenged to raise $3.7 million by June 30, 2009. We have now entered the final 30 days of our 18 month challenge and even in the midst of an economic downturn we have fulfilled over 80% of the goal. We are now only $581,000 away from qualifying for the grant.
In Matthew 19:26 “Jesus looked at them [the disciples] and said ‘with man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible’.” We have certainly seen this to be true. It was His blessing that enabled us to receive the Kresge challenge grant in December of 2007, and our progress, despite the economy, is a certain testimony of His faithfulness. We trust that He is able to provide all we need, and ask that you continue to partner with us in diligent prayer during this crucial time.
We also ask that you prayerfully consider if the Lord is calling you to link arms with us as we work to meet our goal, knowing that if we fall short, we are ineligible for the entire $750,000 grant.
