November 10, 2007 - Public Phase Launch
The week of November 5-10 marked the launch of the public phase of the Envision Excellence Campaign. While the campaign officially began in 2005 and has been on-going for nearly two years, the next phase of the campaign will focus on public communication and community awareness.

Highlighting the week was the kick-off dinner and program on Saturday night in the Ericksen Center on the campus of Northwestern College. Over 425 people came together for the event, recognizing God’s provision and guidance on the College and celebrating the campaign and future impact in preserving the legacy. The program, which was emceed by radio host Kim Jeffiries, included a performance by the Northwestern College Choir, dramatic readings, student and alumni testimonies, musical performance by Elizabeth Hunnicutt, and a time of sharing from President Dr. Alan S. Cureton.

The kick-off week began with a special chapel in Maranatha Hall on Tuesday. The chapel program included a campaign overview and update from Amy Bragg Carey, Vice President of Advancement at Northwestern College & Radio, as well as a time of praise and worship, led by Steve Duede from Eagle Brook Church, and the viewing of the new campaign video. Large renderings and floor plans of the Community Life Commons building were also on display for students.

Continuing the kick-off week, an employee reception was held on Thursday in the Nazareth Hall Blue Room. Staff and faculty had the opportunity to view the renderings of the new Community Life Commons building, listen to a campaign update from Amy Bragg Carey, and watch the new campaign video.
