Major Discovery: English & Literature

Do you have a passion for reading and writing? Do you love words? Are you interested in a career in teaching, publishing, editing, technical writing, linguistics or another English-related field? Northwestern College may be the perfect place for you!

At this Major Discovery event, you will:
  • Meet the English & literature professors and current students
  • Find out how NWC integrates a Christ-centered, biblical worldview with the field of English & Literature
  • Learn about Arthur Miller's play The Crucible
  • Attend the Northwestern theatre production of The Crucible at 7 p.m. Reserve your free tickets to the play by calling the Ticket Office at 651-631-5151 and mention Major Discovery
  • Enjoy a pizza supper—free!

It’s a prime opportunity for you to meet the faculty and current students and learn how Northwestern College can equip you for your future career and for your life.

  • Hear from current students and graduates from NWC's engineering and mathematics programs
  • Learn about opportunities open to NWC students interested in all quantitative and technical subjects (mathematics, physical sciences, engineering, etc.)
  • Hear from Mr. Ben Sharpe, the dual degree engineering coordinator from the University of Minnesota
  • Engage in a friendly problem solving competition with prizes for the winners
