Areas of Study at Northwestern College

Our Biblical Studies programs provide you with an intensive yet accessible study of the Bible which will prepare you for ministry career options and give you a deeper understanding of Scripture.   Our Business Administration degree provides the education you need to work successfully in a variety of challenging business settings. You'll study with experienced business professionals and gain a solid foundation in organizational leadership and operational administration.
Our Business Management program teaches you how building a strong management team is key to sustainability. A bachelor's degree in Business Management from the Northwestern College FOCUS Degree Completion program provides the education you need to become a dynamic manager in any business setting.   Northwestern College offers two program levels in Christian Counseling to provide a foundation for many counseling careers. You'll be able to apply your strengths for listening and understanding while learning to integrate counseling theories and techniques with biblical principles.
Communication skills are a top prerequisite in today's competitive market. A bachelor's degree in Communication Studies will help you build a strong communication foundation of knowledge and practice to become a more effective communicator in the workplace, community and home.   The Associate of Arts in General Studies is designed for adults who have zero or minimal college credits. You'll complete foundational course work in communication, history, art, literature, mathematics, science and Bible in approximately 34 months.
The Global Studies through the FOCUS Degree Completion program is designed specifically for those preparing for or currently involved in serious ministry endeavors. A unique component of this major is that students are required to work with a local mentor as they complete the four modules of study.   The greatest assets in any organization are the people who work there. Successful organizations are intentional in their efforts to manage and develop the skills of people in the workplace, and a career in Human Resource Management can put you in a key position to contribute to the organization's efforts in this area.
Knowing how to present ideas and reach people with your message is the essence of marketing. Marketing is a field that has significant value across all career paths and job descriptions. In the FOCUS Marketing program, you'll learn to create marketing concepts, reach your target audiences, generate responses and organize successful marketing campaigns.   You have a desire to be a leader who influences people for Christ, not only at church or on the mission field, but in whatever profession God has placed you. The FOCUS Ministries degree is designed for students who want to develop a leadership approach deeply rooted in biblical principles.
You have a passion for helping others understand and change their lives. The bachelor's degree in Psychology provides training in theories and methods of psychology and counseling. The Bible is foundational in the study of treatment theories and counseling techniques.
