Bachelor of Science in Psychology – Marriage & Family Emphasis
You want to make a difference in the lives of people dealing with struggling marriages or hurting families. Or maybe you believe that strengthening marriages and families is essential for the health of our society. The bachelor’s degree in psychology with a marriage and family emphasis focuses on the nature of human growth and development and on methods of assessing personality and problem areas. Principles and strategies of counseling children, adolescents, adults, and families are also examined. Biblical course work enables students to apply psychological principles from a Christian perspective.

The Bachelor of Science in Psychology trains adult learners in theories and methods of psychology and counseling. The program meets the needs of individuals interested in helping professions or those who are pursuing graduate training.

Including your previously earned college credits, the Bachelor of Science in Psychology is granted upon completion of 125 credits in core curriculum, major requirements, and electives. A minimum of 30 credits and half of your upper-level credits must be earned at Northwestern.
