Planning Your Wedding
Personalized Service
Planning your wedding is a big job and you won't have to do it alone! From your initial consultation with our wedding coordinator to the day of your wedding you can expect impeccable service from our professional staff.
Once you have selected Northwestern College as the venue for your wedding, the wedding coordinator will help you schedule the wedding and reception of your dreams.
On your wedding day, leave the details to us as your wedding assistant will work with your wedding party and make sure everything happens when it should. For your convenience, we offer optional dressing room refreshments so your wedding party can enjoy food and beverages before the ceremony.

Nazareth Chapel
 Chapel Setting
Nazareth Chapel is a magnificent setting for your special day. The beautiful combination of green, auburn, white and gray marble offers a beautiful backdrop for any wedding style. Stained glass windows, a high arched ceiling, and white wooden pews and furnishings complete this elegant setting.
Seating and Capacity
The chapel can seat up to 300 people. The balcony houses the organ and is available for use by musicians, photographers and/or videographers.
Guest Comfort
Please keep in mind that because of the historical nature of the chapel, it is not air-conditioned.
History
When it opened in 1923 the chapel was part of a Roman Catholic preparatory seminary known as Nazareth Hall. After the seminary closed in 1970, Northwestern College purchased the campus with a promise and commitment to preserve its beauty. Learn more about Nazareth Chapel history.
Scheduling Your Wedding
Holding a Wedding Date
You may place a hold on your wedding date for up to two weeks without a deposit. If you have not requested the contract by the end of the two-week period your hold will be canceled.
Requesting the Contract
At any point during your two-week hold you may request the contract. Once you have requested the contract, the contract will be mailed to you. You will be given ten business days to return the contract with the chapel deposit to the wedding coordinator. The chapel deposit is $450 and will be applied toward the chapel rental.
Confirming Your Date
Once the wedding coordinator has received your contract and deposit, you will be sent a confirmation letter, a copy of your contract and a wedding checklist.
What To Do After Your Date Is Confirmed
At least one month prior to your wedding, please contact the wedding coordinator and schedule an appointment to talk through the wedding checklist. Please feel free to call the wedding coordinator Monday through Friday if questions arise at any point during the planning process.
Your Chapel Rental Includes:
- One hour of rehearsal time
- Dressing rooms 4 hours prior to the wedding
- 3 1/2 hours in the chapel on the wedding day
- Use of the piano and organ
- Brass candelabra for the front and center aisle
- Candles for all of the candelabra
- Kneeling bench
- Podiums for guest book and reader
- Northwestern College sound engineer on the wedding day
- Northwestern College wedding assistant at rehearsal and wedding
- Complimentary audio recording of the wedding ceremony
- Custodial services
Additional Rental Information
Northwestern's campus is smoke-free and alcohol-free. Dances are not held on campus, however if you are interested in having a dance we will provide a list of nearby dance venues for a dance after your reception at Northwestern.
