Getting an early start on college while in high school is a great way to lay the foundation for a successful experience in college. Northwestern offers many resources and opportunities so you can make the most of your Early College or PSEO experience.
Academic Advising
You are not alone! We offer free academic advising to help you select courses to meet your needs and goals for college. If you attend a high school, we suggest you connect with your high school counselor to make sure any Early College or PSEO courses meet your high school graduation requirements.
College Preparation
Developing your self-discipline as you complete classes in a distance education format will help prepare you for your college undergraduate experience. PSEO and Early College courses can help you find out what you are interested in and which college major you might choose.

Eagle Honors Scholars
The grades you earn through Early College or PSEO will be a part of your high school and college GPA—so it makes sense to take your education seriously! If you have an ACT of at least 30 and a high GPA, you may qualify for Northwestern’s Eagle Honors Scholars program. Eagle Scholars can earn a merit-based scholarship of up to $11,000 per year for four years!

College Entrance Exams
Getting ready to take the ACT or SAT? College advisors recommend you take the SAT and ACT in the spring of your junior year and again in the fall of your senior year.
