    Who can take distance education courses?

    Anyone with a high school diploma or GED may begin taking courses through distance education. However, if you wish to complete a degree from Northwestern College, you must apply for admission to the college.

    When are courses offered?

    Distance education courses are available year round and coincide with Northwestern’s fall, spring and summer terms.

    Do I need a computer to take distance education courses?

    YES. All courses offered in the distance education format require ready access to the Internet. View distance education computer requirements.

    How much time do I have to complete my courses?

    Our courses are offered on a semester calendar basis. All online courses will expire if not completed at the end of the semester.

    Is Northwestern College affiliated with any religious denomination?

    Northwestern is a nondenominational Christian college in the evangelical tradition. Classes are taught within the framework of a biblical Christian worldview. You may read our Doctrinal Statement to learn more.

    Is financial aid available?

    Financial aid is available to students enrolled in a distance education degree or certificate programs. Government regulations prohibit offering financial aid for students enrolled only in individual courses.
