Department of Biblical & Theological Studies

Our professors in the Biblical & Theological Studies (B&TS) department have a passion for teaching, a heart for students, and a mind for scholarship. They leave their mark on the entire student body by teaching 30 credits of Bible to each Northwestern student.

"I would not be where I am today if the Lord did not put faithful men and women in my path at Northwestern College to teach me His Word." --John S.

B&TS Department Faculty and Staff

The goal of the B&TS department is to prepare students to influence the world by developing a Christian worldview and competence in critical thinking by:

  • teaching the Bible as "the whole counsel of God"
  • training students to interpret and apply biblical content
  • helping students develop a life submitted to Christ
  • equipping them to develop a biblical worldview
  • exposing students to ministry
  • enhancing a climate of love and respect
