Global Education

Since its founding in 1902 in Minneapolis, Northwestern’s educational mission has always had a global view. Our first graduate, Anna Gooch, went abroad as a missionary to Burma.

The mission and vision of Northwestern College and Northwestern Media are global in scope—to reach all nations, the world, for Christ. Through distance education, Northwestern can reach students hungry for a Christ-centered education. Our radio stations stream online to all parts of the world.

In 2001, Northwestern established its first degree site, the Northwestern College Christian Center for Communications in Quito, Ecuador.

Global Education Workshop

The International Engagement Workshop, presented by Northwestern College, is designed for Christian colleges seeking to increase their interactions with cultures outside of the United States. The conference took place Oct. 25–26, 2010 on Northwestern's St. Paul campus. Learn more about the workshop.
