Northwestern College Choir Homecoming Concert

The Northwestern College Choir, under the direction of Timothy Sawyer, presents life-giving works by composers such as Argento, Duruflé, Dickau, Forsberg, F. Melius Christiansen, and Courtney, including a premiere performance of a new setting of the beloved Deep River by Northwestern College faculty composer Dr. Philip Norris. The program will also feature faculty artists Phil Norris (trumpet) and Carol Eikum (soprano).

This concert is free and open to the public.

Flute Master Class

Monday, March 19, 6:30 p.m., Choir Room of Totino Fine Arts Center of Northwestern College

Adam Kuenzel, Principal Flute of the Minnesota Orchestra since 1990, will be presenting a Flute Master Class on Monday, March 19, at 6:30 p.m., in the choir room of Totino Fine Arts Center of Northwestern College.

This event is open to the public, and junior and senior high school flute players are encouraged to attend.

No registration is necessary.

Faculty Artist Series: Birding ~ Flights of Song

Catherine McCord Larsen, soprano, and Michele Frisch, flute
Guest Artist Mary Jo Gothmann, piano

Join faculty artists and guest artist as they explore the soaring repertoire of the avian kingdom. Join them as they float, flutter, chirp, trill, and wing through flights of “song and pipe” via Handel, Hue, Delibes, Debussy, Saint-Saëns, Stephen Paulus, Sondheim, John Lennon, and Dave Brubeck. In addition to their positions as private instructors at Northwestern College, Catherine McCord Larsen is a free lance soprano soloist, and Michele Frisch is Principal Flute of the Minnesota Opera. Guest pianist Mary Jo Gothmann is a piano soloist, chamber musician, and opera coach of the Minnesota Opera.

Trombone Master Class
